Being a minority in a majority setting can be a challenging and secluded experience. We teach effective strategies to manage and respond to less than ideal experiences as a minority in these environments. Topics we cover in this workshop include but are not limited to the following:

NAVIGATING MAJORITY SPACES AS A MINORITY

Research shows over 75% of the population has a fear of public speaking. Most people think public speaking has to be a large event with a room full of 10+ people, when really it can be applied to a small group of 3-5. This workshop is intended to help individuals grow in confidence and skill in public speaking in a variety of settings. Topics we cover in this workshop include but are not limited to the following:  

  • The human psychology of public speaking

  • How to prepare and conduct strong and engaging presentations in multiple settings

  • Strategies to manage the fear and intimidation of public speaking

We help participants do this by coaching them through each step of the application process for internships, college/graduate school admissions, workforce, and post-graduate training programs!
